Tammany Turkey Trot returns to the streets of Downtown Covington on Thanksgiving morning for a 5K and 5 mile run/walk and a 1 mile fun run. We are honored to be the beneficiary for this year with proceeds directly benefitting the homeless animals of Northshore Humane Society!
Race/course info: Athletes will start their Thanksgiving run just north of downtown Covington. Both 5K and 5 mile runners start at 8 AM and will make their way through downtown and into the splendor of moss-covered trees that line the streets. Close to St. Paul’s High School runners will head slightly west before turning north. From there, it’s a return trip for the finish line at the St. Tammany Courthouse! 5 Mile runners will finish their Turkey “tour” with a scenic jaunt further south past more beautiful homes before rejoining with the 5K course and heading north back to downtown. New in 2023 is a 1 Mile Fun Run option that will start at 7:30am prior to the 5K and 5 Mile Run.
