Danny Trahan, Board President
A proud New Orleans native from the Gentilly area, Danny Trahan has been an active and dedicated member of the Northshore community for over 17 years. With a deep passion for education and community service, Danny has consistently worked to make a positive impact. He played a key role in establishing one of the region's only credit education programs for graduating high school seniors, helping young adults understand the vital importance of building and managing credit.
Currently serving as the NOLA-area Operations Manager for Credit Human Federal Credit Union, Danny continues to advocate for financial literacy while maintaining a strong focus on community engagement. His commitment to making a difference extends beyond financial education—he and his wife, Renée, alongside their beloved Fox Red Labrador, Louie, actively contribute to animal welfare and local charitable efforts.
Danny has also been instrumental in fostering Keesler Federal Credit Union's ongoing partnership with the Northshore Humane Society, solidifying the organization as a primary corporate sponsor. This partnership has supported key events like Woofstock and Unleashed, as well as hosted adoption events at Keesler Federal branch locations, directly benefiting the community and the animals in need.
Danny’s love for animals was nurtured during his childhood summers spent on his aunt’s farm in Mississippi, and he has spent his life caring for beloved furry family members. His devotion to both the community and animal welfare continues to define his service to the Northshore area.
